Here are a few of my favorites from 2010 and links to my original reviews:
Biography/Memoir: Girl Meets God by Lauren Winner
Christian Living: Celebration of Discipline by Richard Foster
Homemaking: Queen of the Castle by Lynn Bowen Walker
Cookbook: Family Feasts for $75 a Week by Mary Owlhaven
Food/Health: In Defense of Food by Michael Pollan
Fiction: My Antonia by Willa Cather
What was the best book you read in 2010? What are you looking forward to reading this year?
I don't think I even read 20 books last year! Nice job! My favorite books were the Harry Potter series. I loved them.
ReplyDeleteAnd if you liked Michael Pollan's book you should check out "eating animals" by Jonathan Safran Foer. I'm actually doing a giveaway for it on my blog:

I didn't do a whole ton of reading this year, but I did start Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series (what else do you do when you're nursing a newborn? :-P). I'm currently on book 3 and thoroughly enjoying it. One of my most highly-recommended books is Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Tony Weschler. If there was one book that every woman should read, it's that one! My husband just finished reading 4-Hour Workweek by Timothy Ferriss and is all fired up about becoming a millionaire, lol, so I just started reading that the other day.
